Timber, timber cries the man
One fell swoop and there lies the man
From roots strong it grew
Surface coarse and passions sinew
Under suns he lumbered on
Days numbered, he grunted on
Many a seasons tested his bark
Naked stripped they left him stark

Once a tower of power,
Soaring above while others cowered
Meting out fates to other barks
Laying them bare in the dark
Timber, timber he ordered
As others turned to fodder
But time is funny, it spares none
Timber, timber cried other men
One fell swoop and here lies this man
